Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and managing school budgets inder the guidance and approval of the Principal
- Manage the efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods and services via the use of K12Buy and Board approved contracts
- Manage petty cash funds and internal accounts and oversee the issuance of checks and verify the depostit of monies
- Establish and maintain necessary records and internal controls
- Prepare and maintain financial, business and operational reports and required source materials
- Prepare and maintain temporary employee, stipend approval and stipend payment forms
- Assist in monotoring position allocation and staffing reports to ensure consistency with budget
- Assist Principal in addressing and resolving discrepancies with the Budget, Procurement and Human Resources departments
- Assist with timekeeping and payroll functions for the school(s)
- Arrange schedule school buses for field trips, events and activities
- Manage and resolve issues with vendor invoices, purchase orders and payments
- Process and track budget amendments
- Meet regularly with school staff (Principal, SIT, etc.) as needed and prepare weekly or bi-weekly reports as needed
- Responsible for budgeting, procuring goods and services through an e-commerce system, and reporting
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, public administration or related field
- Experience in budgeting
- Microsoft Office - MS Word, MS Excel, MS Publisher, MS PowerPoint
- K12Buy
- Minimum of 3 years Business/Financial Management Experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with Baltimore City Schools
