Responsibilities:
- Provide contract programming to support legacy systems, data migration, ad hoc report development and lend assistance in the new development effort
- Offer technical support and mentoring to less experienced staff
- Provide ongoing Application and Technical support for District and Circuit Court legacy systems to include legislative and law changes
- Provide production support and problem resolution for legacy systems
- Provide Help Desk support for District Court Traffic, Criminal and Civil systems
- Provide Oracle reporting for the Domestic Violence Central Repository
- Create and run queries to provide statistical and informational requests
- Submit a weekly written report to communicate progress made on projects
- Analyze, plan, design, develop, implement and maintain computer application systems in a variety of hardware/software environments to support the Court function
- Design and document system test plans
- Create test data, QAs and test new programs and program modifications
- Conduct system tests
- Design procedures to solve complex problems based on user defined needs
- Formulate and define system scope and requirements
- Respond to, identify, research, resolve and document application system performance problems
- Instruct, direct and assist other programming analyst staff
- Assist in the interpretation of program specifications, program design and problem solving and develop code appropriately
Required Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining mainframe application programs using CICS and COBOL II, VSAM, IMS and DB2
- 2 years programming experience with J2EE 1.5, J2EE 1.4, JPA, JSF, EJB3 and ORACLE Application Server

- XPEDITER
- Knowledge of computer and communication systems software design characteristics and capabilities
- Cross-platform application integration program experience
- Knowledge of the functions and capabilities of multipurpose, multi-tasking computer systems and related data communication systems
- Knowledgeable in IMS and DB2 database architecture and design and be able to write batch and online (CICS) applications to these databases
